I crave control.
It seems like it’s a part of my genetic coding. But are we really in control? It’s hard to imagine a world where I don’t control my future.
Do you know what I do when I want to sense a loss of control? I walk in a rain storm.
It’s liberating to know that rain falls, thunder claps, and lightning strikes; all without any input from me. Of all the things in the world we cannot control, rain, thunder and lightning are some of the most fearsome. Why would I try and control the rain? It’s kind of pointless.
But I try and control the smaller things in life. And even big things. But maybe God can do a better at it than I can.
It’s OK to admit that there are greater powers at work. And it’s inspiring to think that Greater Power might care about me. And you. < Portion of the script provided for audition purposes only >
