Puffy The Cloud Educational Skit

Puffy The Cloud-Voice
We are looking for a character voice to act as “Puffy The Cloud” in our audio skit. Our company publishes a series of educational audio montage/adventures. The six 3-6 minutes skits are designed to kick-start discussion in classrooms, small groups and puppet shows. Each one tackles character building from a different perspective. We have already produced three volumes and need a male voice for this skit on the fourth volume. A slight accent would be an asset.
GENERAL IDEA/PRODUCT
The Character Puffy the Cloud needs to be friendly, compassionate, concerned (even a bit sad at times). A genuine accent would be an asset. The skit being about second hand smoking, Puffy The Cloud is a second-hand smoke cloud hanging around young Dena’s bedroom. Dena is showing her room to Melody for the first time. Dena leaves her room to get some food and that is when Melody has a short conversation with Puffy The Cloud. There is no time limit on your voice project.
The method of payment will be discussed once the candidate has been chosen.
Usually Voice-talent artist have provided us with two takes of each lines. Once completed, voice-talent artist will sign waiver giving publisher ownership of the completed work. If you do not want to sign waiver, do not apply for this bid. Delivery method can be FTP. We would like the recording in Wave-usually 16 bit 44.1 KHz. We do the post-production work.
We have provided enough information for the artist(s) to make an adequate and informative proposal. Sampler sketches are welcome. We want to thank all of the artists in advance for their time and efforts.

Puffy the Cloud
Theme: Substance Abuse, Cigarette, second-hand smoking, Public Health
Situation: Dena, A Young girl, visits her friends Melody’s place for the first time. Once inside melody’s residence, she meets a peculiar character named “Puffy the Cloud” who introduced her to the danger of second hand smoking.
Intro-music –Door opening-
1.Melody: Mom, dad I’m home…I brought a new friend home from school…
2.Mom: Come in Melody… who’s your friend?
3.Melody: Mom this is Dena.
4.Mom: Hey Dena, please to meet you!
5.Dena: Please to meet you to Mrs.…
6.Mom: Mrs. Smith…Melody…you kids make yourself at home…your dad and I are watching TV.
7.Dad: Hey Dena...I’m Melody’s step dad…Mr. Wilson…
8.Dena: Please to meet you Mr. Wilson
9.Mom: You kids make yourself at home. (Coughing)Any problems just ask, after the show if possible.(Coughing)
10.Melody: Okay Mom, Hey Dena,let’s go in my room I’ll show you around.Footstep-door
11.Dena: Wow! Your room is really cool. You got your own TV and video player in your room?
12.Melody: Ya, got It for Christmas…say I’m hungry would you like cookies and milk?

21.Dena: I see the smoke…Oh ya I see your face now…What are you?

24.Puffy: Didn’t you notice Melody’s Mom & Dad were smoking when there were watching TV?

26.Puffy: You see Dena, every time they puff on their cigarettes; they send really bad ugly stinky cloud of smoke into their lungs and into the air around them. That cloud of smoke is bad for them…and. …well

30.Puffy: Really…it’s just like you and Melody were smoking too Dena…You see I’m full of bad stuff and I’m hurting Melody too, I feel awful about it!

34.Puffy: They do Melody…just like your Mom & Dad loves you…However Unless they soon quit smoking in the house Melody might have serious problems later in life because of it!
35.Dena: Now I feel really sad Puffy…what can I do about it?
36.Puffy: Melody’s Mom and Dad are the only ones who can stop it! But I know something you can do.

38.Puffy: Be a good friend to Melody and beware that Second-hand smoke is very harmful. Oh here she’s coming back!
