Project Main Details
The spots have the feel of an old-time radio adventure serial.
Captain Bookman is a rugged sounding hero (not a superhero - he's literally a captain, and has the nifty cap to prove it).
Paige is a resourceful young woman who is every bit the Captain's equal, even though she's a civilian.
The Announcer is a typical over-the-top narrator from the radio serial period. He knows he's part of a radio serial, and talks to the audience in reference to things they might be doing while listening to the radio.
The characters they encounter or help are all contemporary (21st century) people, but they are frustrated and perhaps feeling a little desperate by the modern problem they are having.

ANNOUNCER: Stop brushing your bicuspids! It's time for another exciting episode of The Adventures of Captain Bookman and his lovely assistant, Paige… brought to you by the Tuscarawas County Public Library!
PAIGE: We've saved the world again, Captain! How about a week in the Barbados?
CAPTAIN: I prefer my Antilles greater, Paige, but we'll discuss that in a minute. There's a young woman here who's openly weeping!
PAIGE: What's the matter?
MOTHER: My pre-schoolers are driving me crazy! It's hard to find new things to keep their little minds busy!
CAPTAIN: Have you tried to connect at the Tuscarawas County Public Library?
MOTHER: I don't have time to read a parenting book!
PAIGE: The library is more than books! It's about literacy and bonding with your children through stories and the magic of the written word!
CAPTAIN: They offer story times for families, and ones just for kids. Plus, when you need a break, there are grown-up book clubs you can join to enjoy great books and intelligent conversation with other adults!
MOTHER: Sounds great!
CAPTAIN: Anything else we can help with?
MOTHER: Can you help me with this diaper?
CAPTAIN: Whoa, look at the time! Must go!
PAIGE: Connect at the Tuscarawas County Public Library… it's more than books!
