Project Main Details

Political Polarization SCHOOL PROJECT
This is for a school project I am doing at the University Of Utah. The project is a quick spot encouraging a campaign for cooperation with our elected officials. I want to use the examples of our founding fathers coming together on the most difficult compromise of the Constitution.

I have included both Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln. I would like to hear both, but for this project, I will most likely pick one for Benjamin and one for Abraham.

Thank you!

Script Details

Custom demo required
Benjamin Franklin - (slow and thoughtful) " When a broad table is to be made, and the edges of the planks do not fit, the artist takes a little from both and makes a good joint. In a like manner here, both sides must part with (pause) some of their demands."

Abraham Lincoln - (remorseful yet encouraging) "Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure."

Benjamin Franklin - (very thoughtful but cheerful at the end) " I have often, in the course of the session, looked at that sun behind the President without being able to tell whether it was rising or setting. But now at length, I have the happiness to know it is a rising and not a setting sun."
