Project Main Details
Our player character, Philip, has journeyed into a research base deep beneath the Greenland snow, looking for his father, a world class linguist. The research base was installed by a shady organisation which seeks to find and secure alien evidence on earth – his father worked for them. One year ago, and alien virus infected most of the staff on the base – the virus is sentient, and operates as a hive mind. Most humans have been killed or converted, and only a few survive by the time Philip arrives. Philip becomes infected, and is contacted by a Dr Swanson, who is trapped in another part of the base, but has information on a cure.
Accent: well spoken English
Age: Late 20s / Early 30s
Philip is our player character. He used to lecture at Oxford University, before following a trail of clues leading him to the Greenland facility, and his father. He is no action hero.
The main voice acting will be a simple narration over the intro, plus the odd miscellaneous sound effect (eg his death scene at the end of the game). We have positioned the narration of the intro as if Philip were reading aloud from an email that he sends right at the end of the game, before his death. He’s writing to inform the player about the events leading to his death, and to warn him. Therefore, the information is not related by the scared university professor who first entered the facility, but by the man who has found his father’s corpse; the man whose world has been turned upside down... the man who knows he is about to die. Red is an old friend of Philip’s.
Approx Air Time: 1-2 mins
Usage of voice: Computer game in the horror genre, not very violent rather atmosphere and puzzles as its main elements.

What made me push open the door? My father would say it was human weakness. Red might say it was my own stupidity. Some might say it was God. I’m beginning to believe all three.
