Deep in the hills and valleys of Bland, Virginia, there’s a belief that’s been alive for more than a 100 years. A belief in a common goal. A common commitment. A belief in a common approach. It’s a belief in a rather uncommon quality. A belief…in doing more. What exactly does “more” mean to us? It means getting up while the rest of the world sleeps. It’s a determination to make today better than yesterday … and the day before that. It’s the desire to do a job better than anyone else ever has ever done before. What is more? More is the business of***************** Every day, the employees of**************** devote themselves to more. More isn’t just a part of our culture. It’s part of our DNA. The drive inside of all of us to provide the best switches in the industry. And being the best always has, and always will, require more. This drive to be the best began more than a 100 years ago. And it continues to propel us forward today. More shows up not only in the things we do. It shows up in the things we make. Products that the people of this country depend on day in and day out. Our switches keep our nation’s power grid on track day after day … year after year … decade after decade. Everything we make is tested beyond industry standard, so our switches are more reliable, more bullet-proof. Every employee is cross-trained in multiple disciplines, so they have more knowledge, more expertise. With the industry’s shortest lead times and the most on-time shipments, we’re more efficient and our customers are more satisfied. Every order comes with built-in support before and after the sale, so there’s more service, more dependability. Our belief in more is steadfast. Because, at the end of the day, the only difference between us and everyone else is more. More quality. More service. More value. These are the things that matter. We’ve discovered these qualities fuel our obsession to stay in the lead of this industry. And to remain the standard to which all other manufacturers are judged. We are proudly in the business of delivering more. From the products we make. To the service we provide. To the people who make all we do possible. We are in the business of more, because more is exactly what our clients deserve.

You see it here. And here. And here. On every step of the process. In every corner of the factory. You see it. An unwavering dedication to create the best products in the industry. Our quality begins here. In the design phase. In as little as 4 weeks, our engineers produce drawings that customize our switches to our customer’s existing structure. Once approved, we then release the master drawings to manufacturing. Raw materials and parts from our local suppliers get delivered right here. To ensure efficiency, we label and inventory every piece before stocking. These parts form the backbone of our products, which is why we make sure each one meets our exacting standards. Any fabricating; cutting, shaping, forming, punching or drilling that’s required prior to assembly is done here. And then, our customers’ products begin to take shape. The master drawings and build lists are produced each morning and inform the factory to what’s being created that day. The different assembly teams pull parts according to their exact numbers, bin locations and quantities – all relating to each project’s master drawing. Our people have turned this process into an art form. Precise. Efficient. Flawless. Each assembly team working in harmony to get their initial assembled component to the line for the next assembly step. The build list travels with the job through the factory, ensuring every one is literally on the same page and practically eliminating errors. This devotion to quality begins with our processes and is instilled in our people. The best in the business. No matter if they work on sub-assembly, fabrication, switch line assembly, crafting or the pipe shop, our people take pride in every product they make. And demand more from themselves than we do from them. The result is the highest quality components anywhere … Which get assembled into the highest quality switches anywhere. Once the completed switch reaches the end of the line, we make our final adjustments. And then we test. And test. And test. We test continuity. We test resistance. And document every test for every switch before we crate the final product. After wrapping insulators, pulling hardware and checking off on everything, the switch is shipped to its final destination. At****************, quality is our culture. It is inseparable from our products. It is a heritage spanning more than 100 years. Our commitment to quality is the reason why we’re ISO compliant in everything we do. Why our president is also our Chief Quality Officer. And why we’re the only US manufacturer to achieve ISO 9000 Certification. And yet, all of us at *************** push ourselves to do better. Every. Single. Day. No wonder we have a better-than-world-class warranty expense. And zero product field failures. Why do we do it? Why do we put so much focus on quality here? And here? And here? It’s so you never have a problem … Here.
