The *************** journey began more than a century ago when the ******** cobbler shop was established in ************* in 1886.
A young boy named **************** began as an apprentice in the cobbler shoplearning the artisan trade working side by side with his father and grandfather.

*************** was created to serve the world’s greatest athletes and champions but has grown into a world of iconic Italian heritage and style.

The 1940’s

In the 1940’s, when work was done for the day, Emidio dedicated himself to wrestling. Wrestling shoes of the time were made of hard and impermeable leather, which ****** felt were not suitable for the sport.

****** took his cobbler trade into consideration and began crafting soft and enveloping shoes for himself. In a short time, ******** teammates started noticing his increase in performance; they began requesting the handmade shoes for themselves. Day after day, demand for ************* shoes increased.

The**************** adventure had started!

The 1950’s

After having great success with the shoes in his own sport, wrestling, ********* soon realized this comfortable shoe that was contributing to superior performance could be useful to other athletes as well.

He contacted the local soccer team,******, and began building cleats for a few of the soccer players. They immediately took to the new cleats!

As time went by, the cleats were painstakingly perfected and soon desired by the top players of the team.

******** secret was the insole. He took the time to carefully hand stich, and finish it off with soft calfskin that replaced the normallyused coarse leather.

In the 1950’s while getting fitted for his new cleats, it was John who gave *************** its name, stating, “This is not a boot, it’s a slipper- A Golden Slipper!”
The Italian translation for golden slipper is, *****************. The name has carried through to the present day.

The 1960’s

The 1960’s were the years in which ***** had become the capital of soccer; the sport was exploding in popularity while simultaneously becoming an international phenomenon! *************** was now found on all of the playing fields.

The cleats became the ideal instrument for strikers, for finishers and for champions.

Champions, such as the legendary goalkeeper, ****************************** to create his mighty size 14 soccer cleats!

*********** dream was coming true!

The 1970’s

In the 1970’s ***********************************. By this time ***************************** had followers everywhere!

In Italy, the cleats covered all the greats, but above all, *************** who won 7 championships during his professional career.

It was in the 1970’s that *************** soared beyond the boarders of making just soccer cleats.

Cycling champions turned to Lazzarini to make shoes fit for ****************** which is worn by the winner of the tour of Italy.

The 1980’s

The 1980’s were the beginning of the ************ or************* decade.

On July 11th 1983 in Madrid, Italy became world champions for the third time, thus, the three stars were added to the soccer cleats.

It was also in the 1980’s that *************** found its*******************************, the indomitable Cameroon Lion. At the venerable age of 42 was able to score the winning World Cup goal while wearing ****************

The 1990’s

With the up rise and popularity of specialty athletic footwear in the 1990’s the market began to flood with competition.

**************** clients remained loyal. With continued support the brand persevered and adapted with the changing culture, while never giving up on integrity.

*************** has been created for generations to withstand some of the hardest hitting, most demanding sports such as soccer, boxing, wrestling, rugby andcompetitive cycling.

In 2001*************** began making soft and luxurious shoes, with impeccable attention to detail and stylish form for the general public.

The unique sport inspired sneakers are made today with the same quality and craftsmanship as they were in the Lazzarini cobbler shop over a century ago.
