I am producing a PSA for a national, non-profit organization that assists people with problems related to alcohol. This part is for a young woman in her early 20's. She recently moved out of her parent's home because her Dad has a drinking problem. The goal is to make her sound like a "real person" with problems, yet she's also in denial about them. The less you sound like a professional VO artist or 'actress', the better (although we do need a good-quality, clean recording). This spot will be airing in Canada so we need someone who is fluent in French with a Canadian accent (as opposed to someone from France).
I am looking for someone with a home studio who can send me the recordings via email OR ftp. Unfortunately we're working on a shoestring budget, but it should be relatively easy & quick to record, it's for a good cause, and the spots will get national exposure. There is also the potential to work on a separate radio campaign. I welcome any demos. Thank you for your interest. J’aime mon père mais parfois, j’ai vraiment envie de lui crier : « Arrête ! Ne te rends-tu donc pas compte de ce que tu es en train de faire ? »
Il ne veut rien entendre. Je ne vis plus à la maison mais cela me dérange toujours. Comment ma mère peut-elle supporter cela ?
Je voulais y faire quelque chose mais je n’étais pas à l’aise pour aller aux réunions et parler de mon père avec d’autres personnes…
Mais à ma première réunion des Groupes Familiaux Al-Anon, j'ai rencontré des personnes qui me ressemblent, qui ressentent la même gêne que moi.
Je ne peux pas contrôler les actions de mon père, mais au moins, j’ai le sentiment qu’il y a de l’espoir. Sample of the script for audition purposes:
