ED: Well let’s see. 25 years maybe? That’s how long I was a smoker. Started right after high school. I don’t remember why.

And it just stuck with me, for a long time. My wife didn’t like it. I told her I’d quit, and I did for a couple weeks here or there. But you know, I just didn’t think it was a big thing.

The turning point came when my daughter was in second grade. After a few trips back and forth to the emergency room, I found out it was the secondhand smoke in the house making her asthma worse.

That’s when I decided it was time to get serious about quitting. So, I got help. I talked to my doctor and he gave me a medication to help with the cravings. It let me do what I could never do before on my own, quit smoking for good.

It feels good to be free of cigarettes.

ANNCR: Talk to a doctor and consider a quit aid like the patch or medication. Quit with help, quit for good. To learn more call **************, or visit *******************.
