Origin Story ZD281175
This is a new approach to an Origin Story piece we want to do about the founder of the company and inventor of the product. He is French Swiss, and his English is not up to par. We tried a French native English ADR, but that was not working either. We're looking for a folksy, avuncular, take on the script, not unlike David McCuloch in SeaBiscuit or that old stand by, Wilford Brimley. Not as gruff as him, more like the friendly mid range tone of McCulloch.

Fade in on a Dr. Michel in a bucolic setting, casting his line.
Small super (as in the opening of a movie):
Beauty shots of Dr. Michel fly-fishing. He takes a fishing fly off his vest. He looks at it curiously, as if he knows something we don’t.
Cut to Dr. Florent in the lab, looking at the newly invented Eargo device.
Cut to a series animated CG shots and graphics, starting with the device being inserted in a CG ear.
Intercut with lab scenes if necessary.
AUDIO Soft music underneath
VO: Taking inspiration from nature is an age- old practice. Like the way fishermen mimic flies by designing more lavish ones to lure fish. A practice that inspired Dr. Florent Michel one morning while fly-fishing.
Because Dr. Michel was more than just a fisherman. In his 30 years as an ENT surgeon, he’d seen thousands of patients who were uncomfortable using conventional hearing aids. Then — while reaching for a lure — he had an epiphany.
A new design for a revolutionary hearing device modeled after the fishing fly itself.
Today, this device is called Eargo — and the fibers inspired by the fishing fly...
...are now a patented technology called FlexiFibers.
They’re designed not to plug the ear canal, so natural bass sounds pass right on through.
Plus, the Eargo device itself is so tiny, it’s virtually invisible. And it’s so comfortable*, some folks say they forget they have them in. And that’s not all they’re saying:

VO: Your Eargos arrive ready to use. And they’re rechargeable too. A single nighttime charge will last you an entire day.
VO: All you need to do is tap each ear till you find the setting that’s right for you. Then — for the rest of the day — no one will even know you’re wearing them.
VO: If you’re suffering from hearing loss, or even if you just have trouble hearing in noisy places like restaurants, consider this your opportunity to hear what you've been missing.
Order your Eargos risk-free for 60 days. If you don’t love them, return them for a full refund. Go to Eargo.com or call 800-61-EARGO today.
