Project Main Details
Our client is a large player in greeting cards and cute character brands/toys. They are launching a family of new friends for their main character (a cute teddy bear) to enhance their position as a global character brand. These characters will share some of the physical attributes of the main character (colour, shape etc.).
These new cute characters will be revealed through a captivating narrative featuring this cute teddy bear. Our client has commissioned us to create an immersive and intriguing online experience to support the marketing campaign which will accompany the launch of these new friends.
The experience will take the form of an engaging animated story and other web functionality. The animation will be illustrated in watercolour and animated using animation tools and video editing tools. The animation will be released in three segments to coincide with other marketing milestones.
The audience for the characters will be mostly female, adults not children.
The voiveover needs to be gentle, soft, friendly but not patronising. This is not a bedtime story, it is a narration of a dream sequence featuring a cute character - and the audience will be mainly adults who like the character.
The treatment for the anumation is as follows: As the bear is falling asleep he makes a wish on a shooting star. He wishes that he had more friends who look like him. He falls asleep and we enter into a dream sequence. The teddy bear finds himself near a house, and as he moves towards it he hears voices and giggling. He enters the house and discovers a wardrobe with lots of cute friends inside. The bear wakes up and hopes to see his friends in his dreams again soon.
