The Theory considers malignant transformation of mortal somatic cells to be the result of their reprogramming into immortal mimic germ-line cells that are in fact cancer stem cells. The Theory uses the term “germinalization” to describe this process.
Similarly to immortal germ-line cells, cancer stem cells are activated to potential immortality during the course of their life cycle. The Theory calls cancer stem cells “oncogerminative” cells.
Therefore, only process that occurs in somatic cells during malignant transformation is “germinalization”.
The natural mechanism that results in in vivo immortality for both normal germ-line cells and oncogerminative cells is the process that occurs during the unique natural life cycle of these cells.
