Project Main Details

Ohrdruf Letters
These recordings are of 2 paragraphs from letters written by a WWII veteran who was at the liberation of the first concentration camp overrun by the Allies in 1945. The texts are about photographs he took during the war, and the readings will be included in a section of the story filmed at the United States Holocaust Museum.

The voice should be of a man in his mid- or late-50s. The author of the letters lived in Vermont, but a general Eastern or Mid-western accent would suffice.

There are several names of German and Austrian towns in the letters, but it is preferred that they be said with American inflection. For example, the German town of Ohrdruf is pronounced by American GIs with the first syllable as the word "oar" and the second as rhyming with the word "rough".

Script Details

*** Please submit custom demo.
The memory of Ohrdruf particularly is engraved upon my memory. I keep the pictures close at hand and have made a point of looking at them frequently. And, during my years of National Guard service, I made a point of showing them to personnel, hoping we could prevent any such disasters from happening again.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
