New Health Plan Video 
It is an approximate 12 minute video for internal presentation and distribution. The video is explaining changes to current health plans and options in the future.

We are looking for a comforting, positive, relaxed voice-over record, nothing too dramatic or "announcy".

Today, the health care industry is experiencing MAJOR reforms.

The landscape is QUICKLY changing.

The Affordable Care Act.

Rising medical costs.

A push for a more consumer-focused marketplace.

…These are just a few of the factors driving this transformation.

One thing is certain—fundamental changes are fast approaching and EVERYONE will be affected.

UPMC is no exception. We are reacting to these reforms THOUGHTFULLY AND RESPONSIBLY.

As a result, UPMC is pleased to introduce ALL NEW AND REDESIGNED health care plans for our employees starting in 2014.

The new plans were developed by our Benefits Group to help us effectively manage costs, while still providing FLEXIBLE, FAIR AND AFFORDABLE insurance coverage.

Most of all, UPMC will continue to offer its employees the kind of benefits you have come to expect.

Like all large employers, making these changes was NOT AN OPTION.

UPMC is required by law to comply with the new employer mandates of the Affordable Care Act.

Most of these regulations were enacted to benefit consumers in the health care marketplace.

This means our customers, but it also means YOU…when you’re in need of health care services.

By shifting fees to employers, the reforms are aimed at subsidizing health care for more people at affordable prices.

Additional investment will be directed to preventative care and medical research.
