Project Main Details

Neutral British VO for Animated Infomercial
Voiceover required for animated video produced by a centre left thinktank on the subject of immigration. The video will be published on Youtube and is likely to receive 1-10,000 views. The release date is provisionally the first week of June 2013.

The voiceover should be "neutrally British" – i.e. not distinctly ethnic, foreign, regional or from a particular class. The recording MUST be of a high enough sound quality to play at loud volumes without exposing unintended noises. Some parts of the script may change at a later date. Assuming that these changes are not substantial voiceover artists should be willing to rerecord these rewritten elements at the same quoted price. We do not want to exceed £300 for this project.

Script Details

Custom demo required
Please provide a pitch reading the script below or just the first paragraph. Please leave a brief pause after each full stop. Feel free to record multiple takes (e.g. one very plain take and another with lots of character). The full script should take approx. 1 minute 15 seconds to read at a slow, clear pace.

"Lots of people in the UK are concerned about immigration. That's partly because people worry that immigration leads to unfairness. Migration should be managed so that it makes life better for everyone. The UK needs to attract people with the skills that we need… who will work hard… and make a contribution. But if you work hard and contribute, then you should get something back in return, no matter where you're from.

Of course, everyone needs to play by the rules. Our British culture and values are important, and they need to be respected. And we need to be able to communicate with each other, which means speaking English. But if migrants work hard, make a contribution, play by the rules, and learn English, they should be allowed to make their home in the UK, and become British. What do you think?

64% of people we surveyed agreed that if migrants work hard, pay into the system, and uphold British values, we should welcome them to the UK. For more ideas on how to make our immigration system fair, please visit our website."
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
