Project Main Details

Native Spanish speaker for Spanish Training course
We are looking for a native Latin American type Spanish speaker for a Spanish language training course. You must be able to speak English clearly, though speakers with mild Spanish accents are acceptable.

This is a large project, and we estimate that the final script will run about 40+ hours. In addition, we will likely be producing more Spanish training courses in the future, so we might have additional work for you beyond this, if all goes well.

You must be able to record your voice with impeccable quality, and deliver it as a FLAC file (preferred) or as a wave file. All audio should be recorded as 44.1KHZ 16-bit mono. However, for the audition, you may deliver an MP3 with a bitrate of at least 64KBPS. Files will need to be dilivered online, though the means of delivery can be worked out.

Finally, before you submit your audition and bid, please note that we will likely not start recording for a few months.

Script Details

Below is the script is a short excerpt from the first lesson. text in [square brackets] should be spelled. Text in {braces} are notes to the reader. When you see something like "E{Spanish}", that means to read the E in Spanish. Likewise, E{English} means to say "E" in English. If you have any questions, please ask. We'll work out a better method of notation for the final script, so it shouldn't be quite this messy.

{Start of script:}
The next letter is E{English}. In Spanish, E{English} is pronounced E{Spanish}, and it sounds like the E{English} in the English words bet or get. Many non-native speakers mistakenly pronounce it with more of an ay sound, but this is not correct. Always pronounce E{English} like eh and you will sound much more correct.

Now let's practice some words with the letter E{Spanish}.

Fine or well bien [bien] bien {brief pause (just under a second or so)} bien.

To hope, esperar [esperar] esperar {brief pause} esperar.

Baby bebé, [bebé] bebé {brief pause} bebé.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
