This is not the typical audition request that you normally get from Voice123.
Innotech needs to collect specific recorded phrases from a wide variety of people from all over the country for a voice activated electronic product we are developing. Your voices will not be heard in the product. Instead, these recordings will be used to improve the recognition accuracy of the product. We will supply a program that runs on your PC (sorry no Macs) that will walk you through the recording process. There are 17 words or 2 word phrases and each one must be repeated 5 times. We will then collect the resultant files which are approximately 8 MB each.

We need to collect about 80 of these recordings. Accent diversity is important. We need an equal number of men and women with accents typical of the region you live in. The main demographic target is people from ages 12 to 30.
For your time we will pay $10 for each file that is properly recorded from the people we select. We will also offer you a free product once it is in production later this year. It’s a pretty cool gadget.
We will choose the participants from auditions that you submit of a few of the phrases in the list above. If you are selected to participate we will tell you how to download the PC program, how to use it, and how to upload the resultant file.
If you have a significant other, or family member that fits our demographic we would consider allowing multiple entries from you. It is not the quality of your voice we are interested in. We want a good cross section of samples. We are going through Voice123 because you are likely to have the skills to run the computer program and give us good recordings.
You can record a subset of your choosing from the list above so that you feel comfortable that we are not using your auditions without your permission. Please include your gender, age, geographic location, (city and state) and the location where you grew up if it is different fro your current location in the audition information.
