Project Main Details

Narration for animation
This narration is for a non-profit organization that is developing training for other non-profits that support volunteer efforts throughout the United States.

The subject is serious: how to conduct background checks for individuals who will be serving in schools and elder care facilities. At the same time, we want present a warm, friendly tone to viewers of the animation. This will require the ability to change tone in the differing parts of the narration, from serious to friendly, while never going too far towards playful.

I expect that his will require at least two rounds of revision.

It’s an exciting time in national service when new people are coming on board. They are bright, enthusiastic and ready to serve. In all the hustle and bustle between recruiting and getting established, there comes what might just be your most important administrative task: Conducting criminal history checks.

Criminal history checks are written into the national service law, and not only are there harsh consequences for your program if you are out of compliance, it’s also critical to do everything you can to keep the beneficiaries of your program -- especially those most vulnerable -- safe.
Carla runs a national service program and is starting the process of checks. One of her candidates is John Doe. (Not his real name, but you get the picture.) Where does Carla start?

The first step is easy. You verify the identity of your candidate by looking at a government issued ID, usually a driver’s license or passport.Like many of the steps in the criminal history check process, you also want to document that you did this.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
