MUSIC: A BRASS BAND ANTHEM, STARTS OFF SOMBER, THEN BECOMES UPLIFTING, SIMILAR TO “AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL”
MAN: (DRAMATIC, INSPIRATIONAL, THROUGH PA SYSTEM) Fellow citizens, for too long, Wednesday has languished as the blandest and hardest-to-spell day of the week. Mired between Super Tuesdays and Thirsty Thursdays, Wednesday is without a holiday, a football game or a purpose.
SFX: VOICES IN THE CROWD OCCASIONALLY SPEAK UP IN AGREEMENT – “Yeah…Amen…Right on…”
MAN: Sure, some have tried to change Wednesday into “Humpday.” Yet that only serves hunchbacks and camels.
SFX: CROWD MURMURS, RANDOM BOOING AND HISSING
