"The Adventures of Betty Smith" is a security awareness training course for a large professional services firm. It consists of five episodes of animatics, high-quality drawings with dialogue and music. Drawings will be similar in style to “working woman” comics such as “Brenda Starr” and soap opera comics like “Mary Worth.” The storytelling style is melodramatic and soap opera-like. It's an entertaining way to teach important principles about protecting confidential information.
Mrs. Smith is the mother of the main character, Betty Smith. She's in her 60s, sweet, nurturing, motherly. At the same time, she's sharp as a tack and whip smart, able to hold her own with other characters who on the surface seem much more polished than she.

Oh, it sounds fascinating, dear.
CHAD
Anyway, the deal should be wrapped up next week, so I’d love to come over for more of your special dishes. I hear your tofu meatloaf is delicious as well.

It’s famous, dear. Would you excuse me for a moment?
INT. BETTY’S BEDROOM
BETTY is wearing an evening dress and putting on some earrings as MRS. SMITH comes into the room.
MRS. SMITH
I’m afraid Chad is going to have to leave, dear.
BETTY
What are you talking about, Mother? He just got here.

Yes. And he also just told me that he’s working on a merger between Tokyo and UK fiber optics companies. That probably means Jade Components and Modern Technologies.
