iDX 3.0 Trailer Script
Draft – January 5, 2011
We open on a slow pan of a wall covered in Most Dedicated Employee Awards. On each is a picture of SCPC. In the beginning, each photo is happy but as we move across the smiles turn to bored frowns with the last plaque only catching the back of SCPC’s head as he walks away.
Narrator: For Stuart Charles Patrick Chamberlain, life has lost its luster.
Shot from outside very rural looking building with a lone light on.
SCPC (lying on a couch in his office): “I’m out here alone. I just feel so underappreciated. Like no one is listening, you know?”
Turns to his dog who is scratching his ear not listening. Turns back and sighs.
Narrator: Until one day, everything changes.
Phone ringing in the middle of the night. SCPC answers.
TDMA (Looking hip sitting in a stylish pad/office): “Hey it’s Tom, your high school buddy. I want you to come join my team.”
TDMA straightens a business card holder. Card holder reads: Tom Davis, Managing Associate (letters TDMA clearly visible).
SCPC (excited) “Oh…”
Music comes screeching to a halt.
SCPC: “…Why?”
Dramatic music kicks in. Shot of SCPC tying his tie. “S.C.P.C.” is monogrammed on his shirt pocket.
Narrator: From the company that brought you Infinity and Evolution, comes a familiar story as you’ve never heard it before.
SCPC driving his old car. Dog in in passenger seat.
SCPC: “Do you think I’ll fit in?”
Shot of car pulling off highway sign reads iDirect. Shining, big city in the background. Car pulls into iDirect parking lot past cool looking cars (GQoS, TDMA, etc.).
Narrator: An unlikely tale of change.
SCPC walking down hallway in wonder. Cut to shot in a training area.
TDMA: “We need you to learn some new tricks. Like flexibility.”
Music cuts. SCPC is bending over to touch his toes but he’s not even close. He is making a groaning sound.
SCPC (out of breath): “How was that?”
Narrator: A story of teamwork…
SCPC at sunset sitting with pretty female team member (SatManage) on a hill overlooking the city – it looks like a grid of lights.
SatManage: “Every one of those operators is counting on us.”
SCPC (in wonder): “Wow.”
Narrator: And expanded abilities.
Suspenseful music picks up. Shot of SCPC lifting huge weights in an observation room.
TDMA (outside the room, dramatically to TDMA): “You’re getting there.”
Cut to SCPC in the rain after training.
SCPC: (Yells at trainer in frustration): “What more do you want from me?”
TDMA (turning): “You’re ready!”
Dramatic, triumphant music begins. SCPC putting on iDirect jacket. Mirrors previous shot of him putting on tie. Slow motion walk to large auditorium/meeting room. There is cheering in the background.
TDMA: Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the newest member of the iDirect team.
SCPC stands on platform with rest of team while the crowd goes crazy.
Female (standing next to him whispers): “This is going to be good.”
Dramatic cut to title slide.
Super: TDMA and SCPC. Together at last.
Super: Coming 2011 from iDirect Productions.
