Project Main Details
Hershey lived from 1857-1945, by age 30 is was a millionaire for creating caramels, he then went into chocolate, milk chocolate specifically, where he became a multi-millionaire and built a model worker town that was eventually destined "Hershey". All these mostly middle aged VO parts are from his lifetime. I have put one script in this submission, there are many more where we need Hershey's voice though. SFX: Telephone rings M.S. HERSHEY: Hershey speaking.
OPERATOR: Mr. Hershey? It’s that young Mr. Johnson from the newspaper.
We now hear Hershey and reporter from the Lancaster Daily New Era HERSHEY: Thank you Thelma. Hello Mr. Johnson.
JOHNSON: Hello Mr. Hershey. Sir, I have it on good authority that you’re about to sell the Lancaster Caramel Company. Is it true?
HERSHEY: Well, Mr. Johnson, that is in fact the case.
JOHNSON: But, now what, Mr. Hershey? Will you quit candy making?
HERSHEY : “Quit?” Not by a longshot. In fact, I’m just getting started.
JOHNSON : How’s that?
HERSHEY: (chuckling) “Chocolate”, Mr. Johnson. It’s plenty popular. And I mean to make chocolate that’s better tasting, more nutritious, and more affordable than ever.
JOHNSON May I quote you on that, Mr. Hershey ?
