Merci Car NARRATOR ONLY ZDLTK152012944014X
This project listing is for the narrator part of a larger project. The project is for a museum here in Georgia that has just opened an exhibit commemorating a little-known event that took place just after WWII. It is an inspiring story of our nation coming together, and helping the war-torn nations of France and Italy, and the enormous measures they went to show their gratitude to the American people.
This narrator part will serve as the encompassing voice of the project, and will guide the visitors through the stories, as well as introduce the exerpts of historical documents that will be read by other talent. They will be in videos used in an AV Unit where visitors can learn more about the Merci Cars. All of these accounts took place in the mid to late 1940’s. Some took place during WWII, and others were just after. I encourage those that would like to audition for more than one part to do so.

The French Gratitude Train was also a story of one man making a difference. A French rail worker and World War II veteran, Andre Picard was so touched by the American train and Pearson's efforts, that he suggested French citizens reciprocate.
The story quickly faded into history. The train lost its nostalgia and memories of the gifts those who received them have all but disappeared.
