Attach the club to the device by taking the club-gripping clamp with the slot side to the bottom of the club shaft and slide it up to the grip. Then screw the top clamp on to it. Check to make sure it is secure. The gripping clamp is designed to fit a standard size grip.
ALERT: You can modify the grip size to build up a smaller grip with the included rubber shim until the gripping part fits securely.
ALERT: If you let the club go don’t pick up the golf club instead grab the black swing pole so as to not break the top swivel.
How you setup the Memory Swing to your height is by first adjusting the height of the pole to your forehead.
Then grab the club and swing back to the top of your backswing to see if you are too flat or too upright. If you are too upright walk forward to flatten out your swing. If you are too flat step backwards to make your swing more upright. From there you can find your happy medium between the two or to where you feel most comfortable.
Do not hit your head with the black swing rod by keeping your lead arm straight and by getting a full extension on the back swing and forward swing.
To make Memory Swing work and to hit the ball solid you have to do two things, “Lock and Hold”
Lock – Take your club back halfway to the 9 o’clock position with the toe in the upright position. Cock your wrists upward and lock your wrists into the lag position until you hit the ball.
Hold – When your swing is on the way down with wrists locked or in the lag position touch and hold your chin to your back shoulder or collarbone. Thus keeping your head behind the ball at impact.
Swing back and forth and up and down at half speed until you get used to the device. Take 10 full swings then step away from the Memory Swing. Take another iron and swing without hitting a ball. You should instantly feel your new swing.
Now, to hit balls in the Memory Swing you have to hit the ground and make a mark or slight divot in the ground. Place a small or broken tee at the back of the divot and now you have found your strike zone.
Fade the ball by placing the adjustable pole forward in your stance to line up with your front shoulder This will give you an outside-in swing plane.
To Draw the ball put the adjustable pole back in your stance to line up with your back shoulder. This will give you an inside-out swing plane.
Congratulations you have now completed the Memory Swing setup. You should now feel a new swing from muscle memory because with the Memory Swing “Perfect Practice” makes perfect.
