Project Main Details

Media for The Henry Ford Museum
Cortina Productions is seeking a talented female voice over artist for a fun interactive exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum entitled "Create a Car Commercial."

Visitors will be able to "edit" their own car commercial from three different time periods, the 1920s, the 1960s, and the 1970s. One of the media pieces they will be able to select is the voiceover element.

For this purpose, we need a "Woman in her 40s" voiceover for each of the three time periods. Each voiceover will run between 10-15 seconds.

The main motivation for these voiceover pieces is to sell cars:

1920s—needs to reflect newsreel-ish quality from early 20th century. No sophisticated marketing "branding" or "character", but rather a fact-driven delivery. Short, punctuated delivery common from early voice recordings.

1960s—this character is that of an elegant, middle-aged suburban housewife. This woman lover her new luxurious car, and wants to let all the other ladies in on the secret. Confident, alluring, and inviting.

1970s—this character is a middle-aged woman who is living the free, post-material life. She still is confident and knows how to sell a product, but carries a more down-to-earth and relaxed attitude. Earthy, warm, care-free.
