Mazzio's Italian Eatery Commercials ZDLTK494019961146X
One 30 TV spot and one 60 Radio spot for Mazzio's Italian Eatery, a Southwest Regional pizza chain.
We would like the style of the read to be fun and energetic, but not crazy-hyped or over-the-top. We want sincere fun and excitement OR something more "cool and confident/smooth" (whichever feels more natural for you, or feel free to try both styles). We don't want an effected character-style version of that attitude; we want that attitude/vibe to be sincere. Think of it as if you are inviting someone to or telling someone about a fun and/or cool party.
Here's a link to a music track that the client responded to. It's a hip-hop style, but we are not looking for a "hip-hop" voice. They just want to send out a fun/cool/edgy vibe. Don't they all? :)
While these spots will be for Mazzio's Holiday promotional, the talent hired for this project may be hired longer-term for future Mazzio's commercials.
You would only be required for the VO recording session itself. You would pass on all of the takes from the session to us for editing.
IMPORTANT: Your studio must be able to patch-in two separate phone lines. Just using a speaker-phone to listen-in will not suffice.
This payment is a buyout for this pair of spots.

The play-on-words here is "Jingle Deals" instead of "Jingle Bells". That actual song will not be playing in the background, but that's the copy inspiration. For example, you'll see the lines "Oh What Fun" and "All The Way". Don't sing them like the lyrics from the song; I just point that out to emphasize the thinking/inspiration behind the scriptwriting.
- The "Mazz" in Mazzio's would rhyme with Spaz or Raz-Ma-Taz.
- the word "Pepperollies" is pronounced "PepperOHlees", not "PepperAHlees")
Here's the TV ad copy:
What’s our gift to you this holiday season?
Mazzio’s Jingle Deals.
Our most popular pizzas.
And Pepperollies are back
for just six bucks.
Oh what fun.
Ten fifty larges…
Six buck Pepperollies…
Mazzio’s Jingle Deals.
All the way.
