Project Main Details
Our company is seeking a male vocalist to sing on multiple cover-songs. Most of the songs come from other genres so the ideal candidate(s) will be versatile, patient and creative. Our client is looking for a singer with an excellent voice who is comfortable and believable singing with a “Country Twang” in their voice.
•Rate: $200 per song for full buyout/work-for-hire.
•Number of songs needed: 10-30 (client may want different singers on certain tracks)
•Invoices paid within 30 days of submission upon approval of work
•Candidates must have pro-quality home-studio and microphone for recording or be able to record during evening sessions in our recording studio in Chatsworth, CA (SF Valley) or song if necessary at stated rate
•Must be willing to record lead and up to two backing vocal parts per song
•Candidates must be willing to take producer/client direction and create up to two revisions per song based on feedback
•Client would prefer a singer/style like Dan Tyminski (Man of Constant Sorrow/Soggy Bottom Boys) and/or someone comfortable with old-style Country/Blue Grass singing rather than modern country
Audition Process:
First-round: Interested candidates should submit up to two (2) demos excerpted from previously recorded material (or custom demo) up to one (2) minutes in length.
Second-round: Upon client approval of first-round demos, selected candidates will be asked to record vocals over an existing instrumental project track (up to 1.5 minutes) and submit the demo for the final selection round.
Work will commence within one week of candidate(s) selection and be on-going throughout the project which is scheduled to complete by December 2007.
