Script Details
Script provided by the voice seeker:
ANNOUNCER #1 (V.O.)
This is it! The final game of the Division Playoffs and what a game it has been! The Yankees and the Red Sox have been slugging it out for twelve innings here at Yankee Stadium. Now, in the bottom of the twelfth, the Red Sox have a one run lead and they are two outs away from going to the World Series. Everybody's on their feet.
But, in the words of that great philosopher Yogi Berra, "It ain't over 'til it's over." The Yankees still have two outs left with Johnson on second and Hendricks on first. A single ties the game. A double could win it. And Caesar Adeño is stepping up to the plate.
Adeño has been on fire this game. A single in the first inning. A double in the fifth. And you gotta hand it to him, Brian McCarthy's pitching has been brilliant for the Bosox since he relieved Pettiford in the fifth inning. But he's gotta be sweating now. Adeño's taking a couple of practice swings before stepping into the batter's box.
It's the windup and the pitch and... It's a long high bullet out toward Fred Lane in Left Field! He's running back, back! He's on the warning track! He jumps! And he makes the catch! One out! Johnson leaps off second and starts digging for third.
And Lane bobbles it! It got caught in his webbing and he bobbled the ball. The third base coach is windmilling to Johnson to run for home. Johnson flies past third. The relay. Lane to Powell at second. And Powell hurls it home. Too late! The game is tied! Lessa tags him, but it's too late!
Wait a minute! Wait a minute! They're saying Johnson never tagged home plate.
I don't believe this! They're saying Johnson never tagged home plate. He's out! The game is over. Baseball history is made! The Red Sox have knocked the Yankees out of the World Series! Sample of the script for audition purposes:
