Maine Project ZDLTK14409755107X
We're running a radio campaign to create awareness for a road closure on a major interstate highway. The main character in the campaign is a "FLAGMAN." He is a blue-collar guy, relaxed, loose, NATURAL. Sense-of-humor MUST come through. The kind of guy you'd like to throw back a few beers with. ABSOLUTELY NO ANNOUNCER-TYPE READINGS, PLEASE. :60 second radio spots-- there are two scripts so far, and I need the same talent for each. This is a project for the Maine Department of Transportation, so budget is very limited as its a state agency. To keep costs at a minimum, we'll be producing directly through the radio stations. Portland Radio Group has an in-house creative team called Blue Wave. They'll be producing final spots (Portland, maine.)

Hi there—flagger again.
Last you heard from me, I-295 Southbound was about to close.
This time, I-295 southbound is closed—from Gardiner to Topsham. But I’m a regular on these roads and I’ve got some traveling tips for you.
If you’re headed to Portland and points south, the Turnpike is your best move. Along the way you’ll find great restaurants, Bradbury Mountain, and the Maine Wildlife Park—you won’t even believe the animals in that place.
If Brunswick or Freeport is your destination, you can take Route 9 from the Turnpike to Route 196. Or you could take Route 201 and get a taste of Hometown, Maine. Drive safely through there, though—it is someone’s backyard. Jeez, I just sounded like my old neighbor.
Anyway, I-295 southbound is closed for the summer. But you’ll still get from Point A to Point B. And getting there doesn’t have to be half the battle—it can be half the fun.
Oh, and—Maine has a seatbelt law. So please buckle up.
