This is a NYU undergraduate project for Tisch. It is sound only, and will only be played for our class. It is a great way to get some experience and resume build while helping out some film students who will definitely need more vocal talent in the future. This is a drama about two homeless men living in New York City who have been begging together for months. One of them finds a scratch-and-win card worth a couple hundred dollars, and tries multiple times to cash ticket.

We can hear the sound of a grocery cart slowly rolling along a street. An overladen backpack jangles with every step its owner takes. There is a wooden clonk that occurs intermittently. A trash can is ruffled through, then knocked over. A harsh wind appears from time to time.
Another forgotten sock! Thats the third one!
Its just your lucky night, ain’t it?
Darius (32) and Jack (58) are going through trash cans in a back alley. Darius has a low, scratchy voice, while Jack has a higher, elderly tone, though commanding.
Huh. I wonder what else is here.
We’re in a good neighborhood, these people throw out everything of value. Once I found an entire pizza
just sittin’ out here.
Really? I’ve never been that lucky.
You sure it was a pizza?
I may pretend to be blind but my nose always works perfectly well.
