Project Background: This historical documentary DVD tells the story of the restoration of a 100-year-old steam-powered Carson & Colorado Railway locomotive in the mining country of Eastern California. Volunteers have a five-year plan to make the old train run again after 60 years in retirement.
Chapter: This chapter describes the termination of the old railroad, and how one woman, Anna Kelley, acquired one of the old locomotives for display at the City Park in Independence, California.
Scene: Anna is writing a letter to the President of the Southern Pacific Railroad, requesting that he donate the steam locomotive to the City Park, instead of selling the locomotive to Disneyland.
