Project Main Details
the kids parts (in quotation) and the grandmother (in quotation) are being done by other voice actors, so I only need you to read the story as Harry Toews (roughly 618 words)
If you are given the gig, you would have to do a lot of voice work as "Harry Toews" he writes/reads his own stories and does kids book reviews on my blog. So please keep this in mind when pricing this project. I don't have a massive budget initially, so the gig will go to the best character voice, with the best price. 2013-06-03 22:40:29 GMT 2013-06-04 15:12:09 (GMT -05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed - Note: This project was manually closed by the voice seeker before it reached its original deadline. 0 0 2 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. Once upon a time there lived two beautiful kids named Sophia and Matteo. Far, far away from the lands of school and homework, in a small cottage by the river, lived Nana. Nana was Sophia and Matteo's grandmother.
Sophia and Matteo visited Nana in the summertime. When the last bell rang at school to signal vacation was coming and school was ending, Sophia looked at Matteo and said “Nana, here we come.”
Mom took Sophia and Matteo to Nana’s happy land. Nana served them a freshly baked cake and told them that this summer would bring magic to their lives. Nana knew so much about magic. In her backyard grew a small garden filled with roses. Fairies had visited her every spring, and they left many surprises for Sophia and Matteo.
Sophia and Matteo ran towards the backyard. A spell was carved on the small wooden door that opened into the garden. Sophia read aloud, “Black or White, Tall or Small - To Bring Magic, You Must Love Them all.” As Sophia read the magic words, the door opened slowly. Matteo stared at Sophia in amazement. They spent the rest of the afternoon exploring Nana’s rose garden. They walked among all the trees and the flowers. While sitting by the small pond in the garden, Matteo pointed towards a leaf sprouting in the middle of all the dirty water. “How ugly that is,” exclaimed Sophia. After spending a few hours by the pond, Sophia and Matteo started searching for the magic.
Sophia spotted a giant, fat green wormlike insect. Matteo made a face and asked, “What is this ugly green creature?” Sophia said, “Let’s catch this lazy looking insect. It does not look good with all the pretty flowers.”
Sophia and Matteo caught the fat giant and trapped it inside a jar. They placed the jar on the shelf above their beds. Tired, they fell asleep. Days passed in Nana’s garden and nights under the starry sky.
One morning when they woke up, they went to check on their giant green prisoner. The green prisoner did not move; it hung from the lid of the jar. It didn’t look like a worm anymore, and it was frozen and wrapped up in a cloudy white sack. Matteo said to Sophia, “Looks like it is dead.” “We will show this to Nana when she returns from the market,” said Sophia. And they went to play outside. Tired, they forgot about their little prisoner and went to sleep.
The next morning, Matteo woke up Sophia and said, “Look Sophia, look, it’s alive. It is moving” he yelled. Sophia woke up and joined Matteo. The cloudy white sack moved, and they stared in disbelief. It moved again, and something started to pop out of it.
“Sophia, could it be a monster?” asked Matteo. It moved again and popped out of the sack. “Beautiful,” exclaimed Sophia. “It’s a butterfly,” said Matteo, jumping with excitement. The little black and blue butterfly started to flutter inside the jar, trying to find its way out. Matteo and Sophia took it to the garden quickly. As they opened the small wooden door, they saw hundreds of colorful butterflies fluttering in the garden.
Carefully they set the little butterfly free. They went to the pond to sit and enjoy the beautiful sight; there they saw a beautiful pink lotus blooming in the middle of all the dirt. “It's magic,” said Nana from behind. “What once looked ugly will turn beautiful with love and patience. We must never judge. We must only love. It is magic,” said Nana again.
Sophia and Matteo promised Nana they would never judge anything on appearance ever again. They spent the rest of the summer in Nana’s garden, chasing butterflies.
