In May 2011, Liberty Seguros (Brazil) signed on as a national supporter of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, giving Liberty Mutual Insurance Group its first-ever global sponsorship opportunity. What followed was three years of excitement, international engagement and a whole lot of fun, all culminating in soccer’s biggest event in Summer 2014.
Around the world, thousands of Liberty soccer fans logged on daily to the Liberty United site for news, quizzes, games and more.
They celebrated the sponsorship with World Cup-themed activities, posed for Liberty Letters, a global photo mosaic and enthusiastically welcomed the “Bola do Mundo” to their offices with tea parties, impromptu soccer games and visits to national landmarks.
Liberty’s soccer “Superfans” showed their devotion to the sport with creative and comical video entries — and 21 lucky winners earned once-in-a-lifetime trips to Brazil for the big game.
And during the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, Liberty soccer fans around the globe gathered for local office viewing parties, engaged in friendly rivalries and watched as Liberty Seguros’ (Brazil) LED boards shone brightly in the background of the best (and worst) World Cup moments.
United for a common goal, Liberty increased its brand visibility and employee engagement on a global scale like never before!
