Project Main Details

Les Cheneaux marker 1
This voice over is for a continuous looped broadcast on very short range, unlicensed FM to boats visiting some islands in Michigan. Recordings are limited to one minute, 55 seconds. At present there are 15 to 25 different narrations planned, one for each stop. Standard middle American speech is desired. Boats visit the stops in sequence where the narrator describes features of the stop.

Friendly, warm male AND female voices will likely be used on alternate stops. The home owners association is paying for the production. We are donating our mix down and FM transmitter design services, however, the home owners will pay for the professional narrators. (It looks to us as if non-union rates are OK for them.)

One of the treasures of the eastern Upper Peninsula is the ******************** area, with its 36 rocky islands and its peninsulas, wildflower meadows, cedar shores and wetlands.

************ means ************** in French. Glaciers formed the rocky fingers of limestone, sand, and gravel that stretch out southeast into Lake Huron's most northwestern waters. These long fingers break up into a series of 36 islands along 12 miles of shore. At the heads of two island-filled bays are the one time fishing villages of *********************...."
