An Introduction to *************************

Step 1 - 2
At ********we know not all students are alike. And that applies to the way they learn. That's why we created*************************, designed specifically to improve literacy skills for struggling, reluctant and emergent readers. With 33 titles that span pre-K through 5th grade curriculum there’s sure to be something that fits your program.

Step 3 / Step 8
From the opening page, you’ll notice we combined audio and visual cues with easy-to-use tools, to help guide your students through the story.

Step 4
Each button uses color, text and easy-to-recognize icons so even the earliest of readers feel comfortable using the player.

For a cleaner, non-distracted experience, it’s possible to hide the toolbar completely.

Step 5
As the story begins, you’ll notice words are highlighted at the same time they’re read out loud. This type of word distinction better supports early letter and word recognition skills, and keeps kids focused on the structure of how to read.

Step 6 -7
Page turn is originally set to off, so your student can decide when they’re ready to move forward. They can turn the page using the forward arrow, clicking and dragging, or clicking the bottom corner of the book depending on their comfort level or keyboard skills.

For uninterrupted storytelling, simply switch page turn on.

Step 9
Another unique feature of our interactive book is single word playback. Readers can stop, click and relisten to the pronunciation of any word on the page. This is also useful when teaching sound combinations, vocabulary, or relationships between illustrations and words.

Step 10
Because not all students read at the same pace, we’ve included dual audio speeds based on a words-per-minute pace recommended by reading and educational researchers for struggling and on-grade-level readers.

Readers start at speed one, and can move to the faster speed as they gain confidence.

Each tool remains consistent through all our titles, so kids can focus on reading without having to relearn the interactive player controls.

As you can see, *************************provide many ways to help children grow as readers. But our books offer a lot of flexibility for educators too.

Step 17
Teachers, parents and librarians can use the interactive whiteboard tools to highlight or circle specific portions of the book.

Step 11
They can also turn off the sound to walk students through the material at their own pace.

In addition to the main content, we’ve included extra material and support to help round out the learning experience.

Step 13
Students often wonder about the authors and illustrators of the books they read. About this book contains all that, plus important reading level info for teachers and librarians.

Step 14
For those new to interactive books, the help section contains technical contact info, as well as advice about how to integrate interactive books into the classroom.

Step 15/16
Once the lesson is complete, Lerner also offers fun ways to test student comprehension. Kids can play a game that relates to the story they just read, or take a light 5-question quiz.

If after walking through all the benefits, you’d like to experience how *************************can help your new, struggling, or reluctant readers, visit *************** for a free, no obligation 30-day trial.
