The one who maxed out his credit card in his first semester of college?
Well, this year he decided he wanted to live off campus.
And I have to admit, he's gotten pretty money smart.
The first apartment he looked at was perfect for him but it was $200.00 over his budget.
He looked at a few other places that had many of the same features as the place he wanted,
but were cheaper in price.
However, he really wanted the first apartment because it was close to his classes and to the gym.
When he noticed that the apartment was still available for rent two weeks later,
he told the landlord that he would give him the rent and security deposit that day if he lowered the price
so it was comparable to the other apartments he also let him know that he'd seen that the place had been on the market for a while
and he knew that the landlord was losing money on the place, since it wasn't rented yet.
And you know what?
The landlord went for it.
Yeah, that kid's come a long way from the credit crazy spender he was last year.
