Script Details
When your parents first bring you to the hospital, you will come to this big open space called the One Day waiting room where your parents will have to fill out a bunch of papers about you. While they are doing that, we can look at the fish tank or even ride around in a toy car or play at the play table. We wait in that room until our name is called to go back to get our own room where we wait until our turn for surgery.
On the way back, we first, we have to stop by the room called a triage (tree-aage). That is where you get your name band for your wrist and they do special stuff to you to help them when you go to surgery so that everything done to you is done right!....
Hi, my name is Simon and today we are going to learn about what it is going to be like when you come to Children's Hospital for surgery. It is really not a scary place --in fact, I think you will have a GREAT time. I have even asked my special friend Scarlett to come along. She is a patient here and can help us on the tour.
