(Please note that Voice123 screens all projects before approving them, but does not proofread the project name, description, or script provided by the voice seeker) We are looking for a professional reader to read/record an audiobook version of a children's novel produced by the project. Specifically, we are looking for a female with a teen or young adult voice that is “kid-friendly.” An appropriate mix of expressiveness and soothing qualities would be ideal. We require English language, but have no strong preference on accent as long as the reader’s annunciation is clear. The recording should be made using professional recording equipment with appropriate compression, eq, and other treatments to produce a “slick” and clear sound. The product should be delivered in a high-quality format (preferably on CD) with red book level specs. Track breaks should occur for every chapter at a minimum. We are looking for a finished product – not something that will require additional editing.

The text for the reading is approximately 25,500 words in length. As for budget, we are somewhat constrained, but are also new to the realm of professional voice actors. With that said, it will be informative for us to receive some quotes and samples of prospective readers’ voices.

We would like to receive quotes specific to the number of words of our readings. In other words, if you usually charge per page, please take a look at our word length and make an offer accordingly.

If we choose to contract with a reader, additional information/guidelines will be provided as necessary. If a positive relationship is established with this reading, other opportunities may become available.
