Benjamin Franklin rap
I need a rap for an animated educational spot where Benjamin Franklin will be the rapper. We don't have a particular voice in mind. I did the temp voice myself in a Simpsons "Dr. Hibbert" voice (about the only voice I can almost do), but don't let that influence you too much. It is important however, that your timing be almost identical to my temp rap.
I need to present the client with whoever I think we should hire. The best way to do that would be to record yourself doing the rap either a capella or mixed into the instrumental track I've linked below. Please don't watermark or other weird stuff if it makes it sound weird because it makes it harder for me to sell you to them.
If you're worried about getting ripped off (I'm honest, but I can't blame anyone for being suspicious in this business!) then just record a verse or two.
This pays $500 for a total buyout. The intent is it will air as part of a series of 25 educational spots. I can't name the network because there is not yet a deal in place. It's not one of the 4 majors. But my contract gives them total ownership no matter what they do. They can sell videos or CDs or make a major network primetime series or even sell this to the Taliban and there's nothing I can do about it. Nor would you or I collect any additional money. I don't think any of those things will happen, but I do need to be clear about the buyout situation. My music is buyout as well if it makes you feel any better.
I'll probably present demos to the client on Tuesday March 20, so anything submitted before Monday night or Tuesday morning will be considered equally (no preference for first or last submissions.)
