The purpose of this video is to help explain personal finance basics and money management to young adults.
If you don’t have a basic grasp of basic money skills and your living within your much more likely make poor financial decisions and run into money problems. Money mistakes can take many years to correct. This video will provide a basic overview of personal finance, so that you will be better prepared.
Most likely you’re using your checking account and ATM for most of your day-to-day money tasks. Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t do a good job of keeping a good record
of the checks they’ve written, ATM withdrawals, deposits, bank fees, etc. This can lead to all sorts of problems including bounced checks, late bill payments, and even problems with your credit report.
Your checkbook includes a check register which you need to update on a regular basis.
Ideally, every time you write a check, withdraw from an ATM, or make a deposit, you should enter the transaction into your checkbook register.
