Girl voice needed for a museum kiosk
LTK9103204214X
Rate: $150.00
Length of Script: 150 words

We are looking for the voice of a female child between the ages of 5-7 years for this script.

We do not want an adult impersonating a child or a cartoon character voice. We really need for this to sound authentic.

The time period is the 1930s-1940s. The final video will play in a museum in the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum located in Charleston, South Carolina.

Please note: Izac is pronounced like “Ezack”; Edouard is pronounced “Edward”

MOTHER: You’re swimming much better this summer…
DAUGHTER: (pensively) Grandpa Izac told me to “never give up”.
MOTHER: I thought so.
DAUGHTER: Mom, did Grandpa ever tell you about how he swam a big river during the war?
MOTHER: Yes…but…
DAUGHTER: Then, tell me, please?
MOTHER: Well, during the war, your Grandpa was “Lt. Commander Edouard Izac.”
MOTHER: In 1917, his ship was sunk by a German submarine. Grandpa was captured and taken on board.
DAUGHTER: What did he do?
MOTHER: He memorized details of how that submarine worked. He knew he had to escape, and tell the right people…
DAUGHTER: Maybe even the President?!
MOTHER: Maybe! Anyway, he was put ashore and onboard a train headed to a prison camp in Germany.
MOTHER: (continued) But, Grandpa jumped through an open window.
DAUGHTER: Did they catch him?
MOTHER: Yes…they beat him badly, too, and locked him up. But, he escaped again, and reached the Rhine River!
DAUGHTER (Excitedly) The “big river!”
MOTHER: Yes, he dove in. The current was powerful. But, he made it safely into Switzerland.
DAUGHTER: Wow!
MOTHER: On November 11th,1918, he finally got to Washington, DC. That very day, the war ended!
DAUGHTER: Would Grandpa’s information have saved lives?
MOTHER: Who knows? What I do know is that he tried his very best. For that, he received the Medal of Honor.
