Script Details
Begin by freshening up your skin with cleansing wipes – ideal for wiping away the grime of a working day. As they often come in travelsize packs, they’re ideal for slipping in your handbag. Dab on your usual moisturiser, then apply foundation to the T zone, blending out towards the rest of the face. Use concealer for any problem areas.
Now for the eyes. Revive your daytime makeup with a light creamy shade from the crease to the brow. From there, gradually apply darker colours downwards and outwards to the lash line. To emphasise the eyes, either wet an eyeliner brush and use a dark colour from your eyeshadow palette, or try liquid liner.
Once you've put your eye colours in place, it's time to highlight. Use glitter to line your eyes or focus on the outside edges. Remember that subtle is sexy - if you choose cooler silver or warmer gold, use one or the other, not both.
Use highlighters in the form of luminescent face shimmers, powders and blushers. When applying the highlighter less is more - apply 2-3 dots on the temples, tops of cheekbones and sides of jaw.
Dust your face with powder to matt the foundation or try shine control papers if you want a more natural look.
Apply your mascara, paying special attention to lengthening the ends of the lashes.
For your perfect party pout there are two good colour routes to follow. If you have chosen smoky, sultry eyes, keep lipstick lighter. On the other hand, if you’ve light, sparkly eye makeup, go overboard with bold colourful lips . Whichever you chose, make your lippie last by applying, blotting then reapplying.
Spritz on your favourite perfume and you’re ready to go… Budget £150 - £200
If you’re going straight out after work, you can transform your daytime make-up with a pinch of glitter and a hint of shine – enough to keep you dancing till dawn!
