OLD PIRATES Trailer – Final Script

Orchestral dramatic music begins. Intense and suspenseful.

VO: (Image of the ocean and furious waves)
- In a furious ocean.

(Image of the pirate flag waving in the air)
Full of danger.

(Image of Little Joe in his raft surrounded by fog)
- Lost and with no help.

(Image of the island, or image from behind the raft towards the island)
- A little boy finds a mysterious island…

(Images of something that could result in danger)
- … and much more.

- Get ready…

- A fantastic adventure is about to begin…

- …in the most dangerous island of the world.

(Insert images of the faces of the pirates, swords, explosions, etc. Create the climate of pirate fights with sound effects.)

- An inhabited island…

- …with wild animals and predators… (Pause) with no food...

We hear a record scratch. Orchestral dramatic music abruptly stops as we see The Cook cooking a kitchen full of food.

THE COOK is humming stirring a pot of food.

The action climate changes to a “laid back” climate of a tropical island where nothing happens. With no music in the background we hear these 2 phrases:

- Well (clearing throat)…

(said as if its clear that there is no danger whatsoever)

- …”maybe a little bit of food”.

Calypso music begins.

Tofu runs and jumps over sand castle.
Tofu running accross the island.
Tofu moves leaves out of the way.
Monkey is sitting on the toilet.

Calypso music remains as a soft background as Tina asks Joe if he is alright alter a coconut hits him on his head.

TINA: - Are you OK?

Little Joe is standing looking at the town.

Calypso music goes to soft background again and Tina speaks.

TINA: She is with little Joe and is showing him her town.
- This is our town! (Very excited)

She continues talking
- You can find the captain in the tavern. That’s usually where he is.

JOE: (Confidently)
Let´s go, then!

Calypso music resumes with intensity.

We see the outside of the tavern.

Inside the Tavern.

THE CAPTAIN (Yelling [though not mad] in desperation)
- My ship for a drink of rum!

CATHERINE (sexy but sweet and sophisticated)
- Here is your rum, captain!

THE CAPTAIN (Lovingly)
- Thank you very much, my beautiful lady. (sigh)
(We hear a sigh of love from The Captain)

By the shore. On the dock, we hear Rush.

RUSH: (Yelling!)
- Hey captain, I think that today will be a double the ration for everyone!

As Rush is saying speaking, a shark jumps out of the water and eats him. Calypso music stops abruptly.

Original orchestral dramatic music resumes with intensity.

THE CAPTAIN (To Little Joe. Enthusiastic, confident, adventurous, metaphorical)
- Join us in the quest for the largest treasure of all time!!!

VO: - What are you waiting for?

- Your new friends are waiting for you.

- Come and join us in the adventure.

- Be a pirate.

Original dramatic music cuts off for the last scene at the end:

THE CAPTAIN (To Little Joe. Amazed. Surprised. Well pronounced. Not hurried)
- This… is astounding!

LITTLE JOE
- Haha. You lost. (laughs)

Original dramatic music resumes with intensity for ending.

VO - Old Pirates. Coming soon.
