SAMPLE SCRIPT:
[Scene 2]
Stucco is one of the most common building materials in use today and its history dates back to antiquity. The Egyptians and Romans extensively used stucco as a building material. The pigments used to color stucco date back to prehistoric man who discovered that iron oxide pigments would not lose their color or fade. Those same fade resistant pigments are used today giving stucco its natural beauty and longevity.
[Scene 03]
In 1769, builders began using adobe stucco in the early California Missions. The use of stucco grew not only in the Western United States but also in the Midwest and in the East.
[Scene 04]
In 1804, Georgia's first State Capital Building was erected in Milledgeville, Georgia using brick. In 1820, wings were added and the entire structure received a stucco veneer.
[Scene 05]
Early builders quickly recognized the benefits of stucco. They not only found raw materials to be readily available, but the ease of application and design flexibility of stucco contributed to its low cost. The stucco color coat had integral color through out the entire finish, not just painted on. The iron oxide pigments were durable and fade resistant, contributing to a longer life finish with low maintenance. They also offered design flexibility, working with most architectural styles and were compatible with other cladding and roofing materials.
^ Budget USD$500
