At a dentist’s office. Dentist is middle-aged, friendly, white. Justin is white or African American, cool, low twenties.
(SFX: Dentist office ambiance)
DENTIST: Well, Justin, you have a cavity.
JUSTIN: Really, Dr. Perkins?
DENTIST: Yeah, and I need fill it.
JUSTIN: Oh . . . Will it hurt?
DENTIST: Well . . .
JUSTIN: I ask because I’ve downloaded music to my Verizon Wireless cell phone. And if it’s gonna hurt, I’ll listen to a mournful opera, you know, to fit the mood. If not, I’ll listen to some upbeat reggae.
DENTIST: I’d go with the opera.
JUSTIN: I was afraid of that.
