Script Details
The manufacturing process begins when one of our customer service representatives receives a client’s order. First, an electronic proof of the project’s disc art is created for the client’s approval.
Once the project’s source master has also been received, reviewed and approved, the job is ready to move to the next stage: “Pre-Mastering.”
Here, the media data is transferred by laser to a piece of optical grade glass coated with a photosynthetic layer. This “glass master” is developed and metalized, then –- in a process known as “Electroforming” –- immersed in a nickelizing-bath to create the project stamper. Crest Digital’s state-of-the-art Optical Media manufacturing facility is a 125,000 square foot plant capable of producing 300,000 CDs and 125,000 DVDs every day. Located in Anaheim, California, the facility is staffed by over 2,000 associates and technicians –- all dedicated to creating the highest quality product.
