I cannot even express the overwhelming support and caring at the Victims Shelter that was set up after September eleventh in New York. So many people gave selfless hours of their time, energy and recourses for families and loved ones still in search of those lost in the twin towers collapse. I volunteered for a twelve hour shift, five days after nine-eleven and was so moved by what I saw. From the police, to the agency workers and volunteers, all I saw was caring, love, support and strength. Many people who were volunteering their time worked three days with no sleep and were still reluctant to go get rest because they wanted to help."
