This spot features a guy in a car at a fast-food drive through, plus a tinny, monotone voice on the speaker at the drive-through menu. An announcer wraps up the spot.
SFX: Street noises.
SPEAKER VOICE: "Welcome to Smarty's. Can I take your order?"
GUY: "Uh, yeah. Can I get a burger and a large fries…"
SPEAKER VOICE: "Sir, have you been drinking?"
GUY: "Uh… I'm on my way home…"
SPEAKER VOICE: "You've been drinking, and now you're driving."
GUY: "Can I get my burger?"
SPEAKER VOICE: "That'll be Twelve thousand dollars – and your drivers license."
GUY: "Twelve thousand dollars for a burger and fries?"
SPEAKER VOICE: " …and your drivers license.”
VO: "When you get caught drinking and driving you will loose your license and it’s expensive. The average cost of a D-U-I in our area is between five and twenty thousand dollars. Checkpoint Strikeforce police patrols and sobriety checkpoints are out there stopping drunk drivers – every week, everywhere. Drunk Driving. Over the limit, under arrest."
