Project Main Details
The script is very contemplative and somewhat sad--as a widow looks back on her life realizing that she and her husband had postponed their dreams, hopes and goals until they could finally realize them during retirement - only to have her husband die before they could enjoy them.
There is one place in particular that must be "acted out" particularly well--when she gets a little "choked up" in mentioning that her husband died.

“It’s funny the things you remember.” (pause)
“When my husband and I got married we were only twenty years old. It was a very exciting time. I remember sitting at our kitchen table talking about all the dreams, hopes and goals we want to achieve in life.” (pause)
“We had a couple of kids, and raising a family…..well it takes a lot of time and a lot of money. We worked hard, and my husband and I had to set aside some of the dreams, hopes and goals we had when we got married.”
“Before we knew it…..the kids went to college, got married and started their own families. My husband and I found ourselves back at the kitchen table discussing our future. We still had dreams, hopes and goals in our lives, but we were both about 45 years old and realized we better start saving for the future. We didn’t want to run out of money when we retired. So once again, we set aside things we wanted to do. We both worked hard to save for retirement.” (pause)
“Twenty years later, we made it. It was finally time to live out some of the dreams, hopes and goals we had put off our entire lives”….. (pause – fidgety – tears) …..
“only to have my husband die 9 months later”…..
“and in a very brief moment (pause) went all the dreams, hopes and goals of a lifetime.” (longer pause)
“If there was a way I could share some of the dreams, hopes and goals that we once had with my children and grandchildren…..I would do it in a minute (pause) (end)
