1 Welcome to the introduction of the Sales Sleuth for *****.com. our company is proud to introduce this Productivity widget specifically designed for the life of a fast paced Sales Rep.
2 Throughout this demonstration, it is our goal to share with you the significant benefits that you will realize by leveraging the Sleuth as part of your daily routine. You will learn how the Sleuth can provide instant access to your critical *******.com information, how it is seamlessly integrated with ******.com, how easily it can be customized to work the way you do and how truly simply it is to install and get started today.
3 We will begin with an introduction of the various window panes that make up the Sleuth:
(1) Within the Title Bar:
- the Rep can initiate a search
- select the option that allows them to view All their accounts without a doing a search
- and finally the Title bar provides useful information and updates as you navigate from tab to tab.
(2) Within the Tab Bar:
- the Rep can select the desired view which is always highlighted in green.
(3) The 3rd pane is the Detail Window:
- which includes item details for the selected tab
- On most tabs, each row is also interactive with click-able content such as the Salesforce.com icon and the 'Add-a-Task' icon.
4 Navigating your way around the Sleuth is extremely intuitive. After you have entered your Search criteria and hit ‘Return’ or selected the ‘Go’ button, your results will instantly be displayed on the Account tab. In order to navigate to another tab, you must first select the specific Account that you would like to drill into. Once you select an account (in this case we have selected Franklin Marshall), the row will be highlighted and the selected account will be indicated in the Title bar. You can now navigate to any tab from here but for the purposes of this demonstration we will simply go down the line to view Contacts for Franklin and Marshall, the Support Cases for this account, the Opportunities that are associated with Franklin and Marshall and finally the applicable Tasks.
5 There are several user friendly features that you will find available regardless of which tab you have selected. For example: you will find detailed Tooltips as you hover over any row on any tab.
6 Now let’s say you wanted even more details than what is displayed or what is available in the Tooltips. For that reason we have provided seamless integration with Salesforce.com simply by clicking on the red Salesforce.com icon on any row. By doing so, your web browser will immediately open to the specific object that you selected within Salesforce.com without logging in again.
7 Do you need to quickly create a Task for yourself or a colleague? Let the widget do it for you and the new Task will automatically be added to Salesforce.com and associated with the selected object. By clicking on the ‘plus sign’ on any row, a Task window will automatically open to create a new task for that item.
8 By right-clicking the widget, you can access the Preference window. The Sleuth has 3 Preference Screens:
(1) The Login screen is where you enter your Salesforce.com Username and Password at start-up.
(2) On the Display Preference screen you can set a number of options including:
(a) your Default start mode (either in Search or an ‘All Accounts’ mode) - This allows a Rep can set it to their information and choose how they start their day.
(b) your Opportunities preference (to view either 'All Opportunities' or 'Just your Open Opportunities' )
(c) you can indicate the maximum numbers of rows that you would like to display - this is simply a desktop real estate consideration.
(d) and how you would like to add Tasks: either via the widget or to be launched directly into *******.com.
(3) The Preferences screen is where you define the priority levels for cases. Some organizations may have modified the default values of High, Medium and Low. Additionally, you can specify Opportunity thresholds that will effect the indicator lights for each Opportunity.
9 Another very simple way to customize your use of the Sales Sleuth is to select the ‘Show Only My Accounts’ button. By doing so, the search box will be hidden and the Accounts tab will immediately populate with ALL your Accounts. As you would expect the rest of the tabs work the same as before in that you first select a specific Account and then drill into the details by selecting another tab.
10 If you come across a bug - our sincerest apologies but we want to know so that we can fix it quickly. If you have an idea that would improve the Sleuth and make your life easier, we want to hear about that too. Simply right click on the widget and fill out the built-in form. You will receive a confirmation email with the Case Number and you can expect to hear from Appirio as we troubleshoot your issue or consider your Enhancement Request.
11 So hopefully we’ve made believers out of you and you are ready to get started. As all the Salesforce.com Productivity Widgets run within the Yahoo! Widget Engine, the first step is to install the Engine from Yahoo!. It’s available as a free download from http://widgets.yahoo.com.
Once the Engine is installed, you will have access to a wide variety of free widgets for your desktop including the Sales Sleuth and the other Salesforce.com Productivity Widgets. That’s all there is to it!
12 To promote rapid user adoption and frequent use, Appirio has introduced a suite of Salesforce.com Productivity Widgets. Each of these applications offer you an alternative way to access and interact with your Salesforce.com data directly from your desktop. In addition to the Sales Sleuth, Appirio has released 2 complimentary Productivity Widget for Salesforce.com:
“Opportunity Knocks widget - which is targeted for the Sales Executive to see real time as deals progress through the sales cycle
and
(2) “Case Watcher widget which is targeted at the Support Rep to rapidly view all Support Cases that they are tracking.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Sleuth. Appirio wishes you happy selling and huge returns!

(TRANSITION NOW) Once you select an account (TRANSITION NOW) (in this case we have selected Franklin Marshall), the row will be highlighted and the selected account will be indicated in the Title bar.
